The Wonky Donkey

 OMG!!!!! Yesterday I saw a donkey with one eye.

It has only one eye because a baseball hit its eye by accident. A guy had to take the donkey to the vet to check his eye. The donkey was badly hurt and in pain.

The donkey was also scared. They had to take the eye out. 
After that the donkey was fine. When I turn the radio on, the music played and the donkey danced with me.

Finally two other donkey's came. I thought they were his friends but they weren't. The two donkey's said ''He haw!!'' It was actually his mum and dad. I said ''bye!'' to them and went back home.

Ice cream

I think that children should be allowed to eat ice cream whenever they want to because it has different flavours and and its yummy and delicious.

Children should be allowed to eat ice cream because it has different flavours like strawberry, mango, nuts and chocolate that are healthy and good for our body. The milk in the ice cream can help our bones and teeth to be strong.

Children should not be allowed to eat ice cream whenever they want to ,because it has lots of sugar and it can make us hyperactive and can make us very sick because it can give is diabetes. 

I think children should be allowed ice cream on special celebrations or as a treat.

How could adults be better

I believe that adults could be better if they listen to their children's problems.

Adults should stop shouting at children when they made mistakes. They can put children on time out instead.

Adults should not drink too much alcohol, because the children might copy them when they grow up.
Adults should stop swearing because they might swear at their wife or children and they will get scared and sad .

The most important of all, is adults should not smack children because the government might take the children away from their parents.

Sharing my Maths Strategy

6 Rows of feijoa trees is = 60 I know because I skip counted by 10 six times 10, 20, 30, 40 ,50, 60 or 6 x 10 = 60 another way is 30 + 30 = 60.

Today I was given an array of snails. I used Move note to video myself explaining my strategy to count the snails. I counted by 5 10 15 20.

Subtracting from ten

 This morning I have been learning to subtract from ten. My equation was 10 - 4 = 6. I used the line tool to take away four from ten.

This is my grouping within ten. Today I have been learning to use the shape tool and paint buckets to show my grouping within ten. My grouping within ten was 3 + 7. I used diamond shape tool to do this.

My trip to the beach

On Saturday me and my family went to the beach. The first
thing we did was unpack our stuff before we swim. After that
we went for a swim. My dad was swimming like a fish.
Next,  we built a sandcastle and we put some shells
in it. Second we put our umbrella up because we were hot. We put
some sun cream on. Finally we packed our stuff then we
went home.

St Patrick's day

Yay! St Patrick's day! Yesterday it was St Patrick's day. There was sausage sizzle.

Before celebrating St Patrick's day we went to the church to pray for God.

After we prayed we went to class,our teacher said to go outside for sports. I saw some people wearing PE gear on, I also saw Mrs Richardson and her cute baby.

Next everyone in the school was put in a group. My group was called Leprechauns and our leader was Koleo. Then we went to Sister Evalise's game, the game was called golf. 

When we were playing golf there was another team. We always played against each other. 

  After all the games

was finished we had Popsicles. My popsicle was lemonade flavour. Finally we went back to class.

Summary
The most popular game in Room 5L is Grand Theft Auto 5 because it has first person
 and you can shoot view. The second popular is Battlefield Hardline and Halo 4 they are the second because you can change weapons in Halo 4 you can shoot the aliens. the latest is Farcry 4 because it has bad graphics.

During the holidays we went to Lazer Strike with my friends.

When we played at Lazer Strike we tried to beat  their team but we lost. After that we played at the arcade. I got so many tickets. I wanted a toy skateboard but my tickets are not enough. After a while we went bowling. I did well in bowling. I got 78 points. 

Then we went to Panmure Bridge Park and played Hide and Seek tag. My two friends were in. Next we went home and I sat on my couch. Then me and my dad cleaned the backyard. There was so many leaves in the backyard. Finally, I went inside because I was so tired, so I went to sleep.

Animals in trouble-My Mental cat

Oh my goodness! Last Friday my cat Finn climbed the tall
tree and he got stuck.

My mum panicked so she called the fire fighters and they 
brought  a tall ladder and placed it on the tree.

Next, they climbed up the ladder the  and grabbed him.
Then they climbed down and take him in our house. Mum gave him food and milk.

Finally my mum put him to sleep. We thank
the fire fighters and we paid them.

Badminton

Hooray!! On Friday we went to the hall to 
play badminton.

The first thing we did was warm up. We jogged sideways,and then
we have to face the wall and jogged again.

Next, our coach Ben, gave us rackets and he taught us the proper way of holding the racket.Then he gave us shuttlecock.


He taught us how to bounce the shuttlecock and we practised hitting it up and down.


Finally, we said good bye to coach Ben and we 
went back to class to do more school work.

 Today we went to Sylvia park to buy my games.

We went inside EB games and bought WWE 2K15 and Battlefield Hard line. I was so excited. 

Dad bought the games, then we went to Pak & Save
to buy food. We bought chicken and cornbeef. Then went back to our house and ate the food.Then I played the games. It was so cool.

Finally, I was so tired I put on my pyjamas and I went to
bed.

Maths pattern 3

 Today I have learned how to use Google draw to make three repeated patterns with three different shapes and three different colours. The shapes I used was rectangle, half frame,and right triangle. I was making sure it was the same size. The colours I used for my background is aqua blue, and for the colour of my shapes I used red, blue and gold.

Today I have been learning to use Google draw to create a repeating pattern.I repeated my pentagon shapes by making sure they were same size. I used two colours yellow and red. On the odd lines I used the pattern yellow, red ,yellow, red. yellow. red. On the even lines I started my pattern by going y red, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow, red, yellow.

 Have you ever played tee golf before? 

First, we learn how to swing the golf club.
Second, we learn two golden rules. Be safe and have fun.

Then coach Kennel told us how to be respectful.

Then we played this game called Rob the Nest. To play Rob the nest

coach Kennel picked teams 1,2,3 & 4. It was fun.

Finally, we finished playing tee golf. All of us said good bye to coach Kennel, then we went back to class. Our teacher

said we have to write about our tee golf.

My mum is kind. She takes cares of me when I'm sad. She kisses me

and hugs me and gives me chocolates. She helps me especially

when I'm carrying heavy stuff. She is protective. She protects me if

a cat scratches me. Mum is loving and she kisses me when she drops me off school. She hugs me when I'm injured. I love my mum

 so much.

ANZAC Day!

Last week we celebrated ANZAC day.

We went behind the library then we sat down on the grass. Mrs Twomey gave us crosses to put in the grass.Next I saw a big cross in the corner. I saw names on the crosses, of the people who died 100 years ago.

Then the room 8 students were talking about ANZAC Day in a microphone. Afterwards some of the room 7 students said their prayers in a microphone too. Then we went to class. When we got there Mrs Twomey said we have to write about it tomorrow.

We said our prayer and got ready to go home. I had fun on ANZAC Day.

I know I can do this when I write the orientation, events and the conclusion in correct order.

Hurray!  Today our school went to Point England beach to welcome the waka from Hawaii.

First we sat down on the grass and then we heard horn sounds. It sounded like elephants calling their friends.

Next we saw students doing the haka. Then the waka arrived.

The people from the waka got on the speedboat to

get to the beach. The students did the haka again.

Then, we sang He Honore and everybody sang beautifully.

When we finished singing someone spoke on the speaker.

Then we high-fived the waka crew and the visitors from 

Hawaii.

Finally we waited for our bus to take us back to school.

It was an awesome day!

Popular Pets in Room 5L

The turtles is the most popular pet in Room 5L. They were popular because they have a
hard shell and they have nine patterns.Seventeen students chose turtle as their favourite pet. The least popular pet were birds because they fly away. They create mess through bird seed going on the
floor and you cannot cuddle a bird. Only nine students chose bird as a favourite pet.

Forces in Motion

 This term I have been learning about forces. We did this experiment on how far a car travels when it is on a slope. I learnt that if we used two books the car would travel a short distance and if we used a thick pile of books the car would travel a greater distance.
