In Technicraft, our task in cooking class was to bake bread loafs, me and Vaughan picked bread rolls, and the ingredients was:
- 2/3 cups of flour
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 4 teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons of yeast
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Method:
- Sift 2/3 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Sift those ingredients all together until everything is sifted.
- Then get a small bowl to put the 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/4 cup of warm water.
- After that put the 2 teaspoons of yeast into the small bowl.
- Mix everything with a wooden spoon. Mix until the yeast is gone.
- Then get back to the large bowl to add the 4 teaspoons of oil.
- After that's done put in the yeast mixture to the large bowl with the flour. Mix until it is like dough.
- When you done that, get a flour shaker and shake it on the table to knead the yeast.
- Knead well into the flour until it is soft and not sticky. Make sure to had water if its not soft.
- After that cut the dough to any shapes you want like, half moon, 2 strips of the dough and twist together and you could also make it into a square shape.
- After that's done, put in the oven for 200 degrees celsius.
- When the bread is done, put it on a pot sand and wait for it to cool down.
- Put any toppings you want like brown sugar or cinnamon.
- Then you are done.
ENJOY YOUR BREAD ROLL!
